Nova Scotia Komatsu Dealership Acquired by Local Investors

April 26, 2013

Wilson Equipment, a Komatsu construction, mining and forestry equipment dealership in Truro, N.S., Canada, was acquired by a group of about 30 investors, the Truro Daily News is reporting. Jim Wilson, one of the investors — not related to the Wilson family that founded the company — will take over as president and chief operating office overseeing day-to-day operations.

Wilson said the majority of the investors are from the province. Former owners Ralph and Peter Fahey, will continue with the operation, which also includes equipment rental.

The new owners hope to expand the company into other Nova Scotia cities as well as into neighboring provinces such as New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
