A 30-year-old Kansas City man was sentenced to 22 years for his participation in the murder of popular rental center owner David Bledsoe in May 2011, Fox4kc.com reported this week. Andre Broadus was found guilty for his role in the murder last year.

His accomplice, Anthony Britton, already has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the crime. The two men entered Bledsoe Rentals and demanded money. After Bledsoe told Britton — who had previously been a store customer — that he wouldn’t shoot him, Britton pulled the trigger. The men grabbed $500 and fled.

Broadus will be eligible for probation in 18 years.
