JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corp. company, and Hinowa, S.p.A. this week announced at the SAIE International Building Exhibition in Bologna, Italy, an agreement that will provide JLG-branded specialty boomlifts to the access market. These articulated boomlifts feature a light overall vehicle weight, the ability to pass through a narrow doorway, outriggers for leveling, and drive on rubber tracks.

“We are very excited to provide this rapidly growing product to our customers,” said Tim Morris, JLG global vice president, sales, marketing and customer support. “JLG selected Hinowa to produce these specialty boomlifts for us based on their product quality, innovation and technical expertise. We believe that JLG will help expand the market outside of Europe for these products as well as provide JLG’s European customers with a one-stop shop for all of their access product and aftermarket service needs.”

JLG will initially add four specialty boomlift models ranging in working height from 14 to 23 meters to its full line of aerial work platform equipment. JLG will market and sell these products to its network of distributors and customers and will be responsible for providing its full array of Ground Support services, including parts, repair and maintenance, training and technical support.

JLG expects to have these products ready for delivery in early 2011.

“We are proud to be selected by JLG as their supplier of JLG-branded specialty boomlifts,” said Dante Fracca, Hinowa president. “Hinowa remains committed to our distributor partners in Europe, which will continue to sell and service Hinowa-branded compact crawler boomlifts. We further believe that JLG’s global presence and brand will help grow this product’s popularity in North and South America, Asia Pacific and other developing markets.”

Hinowa will continue to market and sell the Hinowa-branded compact crawler boomlifts through its distributors in Europe and will support them with parts, service, training and technical support.

The JLG-branded specialty boomlifts will be produced to JLG’s specifications by Hinowa. These models will be available with gasoline, diesel or lithium-ion power.

JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa., is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of access equipment.

Hinowa was founded in 1987 in Nogara, Italy. Its origins are based on a long family tradition of constructers of earthmoving machines.
