The search for the oldest operating Allmand light tower is over. Allmand Bros. last week announced that the Allmand 75th Anniversary Special Diamond Edition Night-Lite PRO II light tower was traded to Hotchkiss Rentals in Hotchkiss, Colo.
Dan and Sue Stucker, the owners of Hotchkiss Rentals, traded in a 1979 square-top Maxi-Lite light tower. The light tower was first owned by Westmoreland Coal. It had been in Hotchkiss’s rental fleet for 11 years. The Maxi-Lite will be refurbished and placed at Allmand Bros. headquarters in Holdrege, Neb.
