Holt Cat Provides Generator during 24-Hour Power Outage in Brady, Texas

Holt Cat sent a one-megawatt generator to Brady, Texas, about 150 miles northwest of San Antonio, when the entire town lost power for more than 24 hours recently. The power provider and distribution lines were taken down after storms blew through the town, Brady officials said. The city hall, fire department and police station had back-up generators to supply needs.

The main complaint from residents was the loss of air conditioning in the extreme heat. Holt Cat provides emergency power assistance through a national response agreement with Wal-Mart where select Caterpillar dealers across the United States participate. Holt Cat supports the agreement with one of the largest generator fleets in Texas and in the U.S.
