Godwin Pumps recently opened its 25th branch location in Long Beach, Calif., and added a depot in Albany, N.Y.

Located in the city of Carson, Calif., the facility is in close proximity to major refineries, including: Conoco Wilmington, Conoco Carson, Exxon Mobile Torrance, BP Arco Carson, Tesoro Wilmington, Valero Wilmington, BP Calciner Wilmington and Chevron El Segundo.

“We chose the Carson location to provide more immediate rental, sales and service support to our refinery business in the Long Beach area, and to support our ongoing business in the western portion of the Los Angeles basin with municipal, industrial and construction clients,” said Godwin western regional manager Ron Askin. “This location complements our existing Mira Loma facility, in the eastern portion of the Los Angeles basin.”

The new facility offers 2,400 square feet of office space; 12,000 square feet of building space and another 75,000 square feet of yard space to support the current demand and long-term growth expected in the Long Beach area.

In addition to the Long Beach facility, Godwin announced the opening of a depot in Albany, N.Y. Headed by operations manager Chris Batt, the Albany facility will provide Godwin with 1,500 square feet of office space; 6,000 square feet of shop space and an acre of yard space.

“We have received an increasing amount of business from the Albany area,” said Herb Schroeder, regional manager. “Our new facility in Albany will help us provide better coverage with our entire range of equipment, rather than just the big specialty pumps we’ve been trucking in from Batavia. We’ll be more efficient and we’ll be able to provide better service to our customer base in Albany and surrounding areas.”

Godwin Pumps is headquartered in Bridgeport, N.J.
