Former rental center owner Walt Henderson died recently at the age of 86. Henderson opened Newbury Park Equipment Rentals in 1964 with partner Dick Moon and ran the company more than 20 years. He then started Walt’s Rental Supply, supplying rental companies with parts and tools.
For the next 20 years, Henderson and his wife Ginny travelled three days a week around California providing items to rental companies.
Henderson’s wife died in 2008. Henderson is survived by daughters Elaine Standring, Janice Lawrence and Denise Roche, and several grandchildren.
