CRA Territory Meeting Includes Talks by Ahern and Crime Prevention Group

The California Rental Association drew 120 attendees to a territory meeting at City Rentals in Ontario, Calif., during which Ahern Rentals, owner of Ahern Rentals and Snorkel/Xtreme, spoke about growing up in the rental industry and his acquisition of Snorkel.

Also Gabe Marquez from Crime Prevention Program of Southern California spoke on the partnership between CRA and CPP. Marquez also invited members to attend CRA and CPP’s Octoberfest in Corona, Calif., next month.

CRA president Patricia Sarris, spoke to remind members about member-only CRA programs and introduced the newest program 360 Payment Solutions for Credit Card Processing Services.

Also CRA executive director Dale Blackwell spoke about CRA’s upcoming January 26-28 Rental Rally in Las Vegas at the South Point Convention and Casino. Rooms are only $55 per night for the event with advance reservations and can now be reserved at www.calrental.org. The show will begin with store tours – one at Rebel Rents for party rental along with a “behind-the-kitchen” tour for lunch at the Rio Hotel and Casino. For equipment and general rental centers, a tour and lunch will be held at Ahern Rentals and its sister company and manufacturing plant Snorkel/Xtreme. There will be an optional cocktail party on the show floor, two days of exhibits, and a banquet at the Hofbrau House. After the show, there will be computer training from Point of Rental and Solutions by Computer.

The event concluded with two Bobcat buckets full of ice and water for the ALS ice bucket challenge, one for the City Rentals crew, and the other for the King Equipment crew, both nominated by Apex Rentals in Hesperia, Calif. Both companies made donations to ALS research.
