Bobcat Celebrates Production of Millionth Loader

March 10, 2014

Bobcat Co. will produce the millionth Bobcat loader sometime in 2014 and the company will be celebrating all year with the Bobcat “Unstoppable” campaign. Bobcat is focusing less on the actual millionth machine than its significance.

The celebration began in January as Bobcat kicked off a contest to give away a special edition one-millionth Bobcat loader to whoever best answers the question: “How does Bobcat make you unstoppable?” The contest is open to all and entries will be judged on completeness and creativity, the company said. Bobcat is giving out weekly and monthly small prizes and prizewinners will be entered for the grand prize.

The contest is open to residents of the continental United States and Canada, excluding Quebec.

“This celebration is about what we’ve accomplished in building all 1 million loaders, which is unique in the compact equipment industry,” said Laura Ness Owens, Bobcat Co. director of communication. “The Unstoppable theme signifies this is really just the beginning for Bobcat Co. Our 50th anniversary in 2008 celebrated our history and heritage, but the Unstoppable campaign celebrates this tremendous milestone and the fact that we have no plans to slow down.”

Bobcat unveiled its special edition one-millionth Bobcat loader at the ConExpo show in Las Vegas last week. These skid-steer and compact track loader models have special paint and decaling schemes and will be available through authorized Bobcat dealers in limited quantities throughout the year.
