Atlas Copco Opens New Distribution Center in Charlotte

Atlas Copco recently opened a new distribution center in Charlotte, N.C. The new 131,000-square-foot facility substantially improves the storage and shipping capabilities for spare parts and consumables in the North American market. The increased parts capacity means customers in North America can now receive 24-hour delivery on all stocked parts.

The new 131,000-square-foot facility substantially improves the storage and shipping capabilities for spare parts and consumables in the North American market. The increased parts capacity means customers in North America can now receive 24-hour delivery on all stocked parts.

“This investment shows our commitment to the North American market and our ambition to continuously improve customer satisfaction,”said Stephan Kuhn, business area president Atlas Copco Compressor Technique.“From this new distribution center we will supply all of the spare parts and consumables required for the products we service in North America.”

The custom-fitted facility will become the central distribution point for a wide variety of compressors, medical gas equipment and industrial and vehicle service tools, as well as thousands of spare parts and consumables under the Atlas Copco, BeaconMedæs, Desoutter and Chicago Pneumatic brands. The investment is approximately SEK 44 million (about U.S. $6 million).

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Atlas Copco is an industrial group that produces compressors, construction and mining equipment, power tools and assembly systems.
