AMECO has formed a joint venture with Mikisew Energy Services Group to provide fleet management for capital construction projects in Alberta, Canada, the companies said this week.

AMECO has formed a joint venture with Mikisew Energy Services Group to provide fleet management for capital construction projects in Alberta, Canada, the companies said this week.

The new partnership, Mikisew/AMECO Group is based in Fort McMurray, Alberta, and will focus on providing services in the Wood Buffalo region of northern Alberta and adjacent markets. MESG, founded in 1992, is 100-percent owned and operated by Mikisew Cree First Nation. Working in the oil and gas, mining and forestry industries, Mikisew Energy provides an array of plant support services, primarily for large-scale industrial clients.

“Mikisew’s reputation and local expertise coupled with AMECO’s mobile equipment management capabilities will add exceptional value and service to clients in the region,” said Gary Bernardez, president of AMECO.

AMECO, based in Greenville, S.C., is No. 13 on the RER 100.
