Aggreko Opens New Brunswick Mobile Service Center

May 29, 2013

Aggreko, global leader in temporary power generation, temperature control and oil-free compressed air solutions, has opened a 10,000-square-foot mobile service center facility in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada to meet the growing temporary power needs of oil and gas customers in Atlantic Canada. Aggreko launched its customizable mobile service centers in February, designed for rapid deployment to provide customers with immediate access to the company’s rental fleet, maintenance services, sales personnel and technicians.

Aggreko first established itself in Saint John in 2012, and is expanding its Atlantic Canada operations to support booming local industries, including petrochemical, refining, offshore oil and gas, mining, and power generation and transmission.

“Aggreko is committed to maintaining a superior level of local service and support to our valued customers in the Atlantic Canada region,” said Peter Brouwer, vice president and area general manager, East Canada, Aggreko. “We’re proud to expand our mobile service center offering and provide engineered temporary power, heating and cooling solutions designed to reduce downtime during periods of turnarounds and maintenance.”

The mobile service center will supply the area with the company’s major rental product lines, including:

  • Power generators from 30 kW to 1,500 kW;
  • New natural gas generators, 65 kW and 1,300 kW;
  • Temperature control equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, air conditioners and electric heaters;
  • Oil-free air compressors, both diesel and electric;
  • Refinery-grade heat exchangers;
  • Winterized packaging options ensuring seamless operations of equipment in harsh weather conditions.

The new branch will also provide engineering support from Aggreko Process Services, an experienced process engineering team within Aggreko that helps customers improve their processes and operations to enhance bottom-line performance and address environmental concerns. The APS team can design and install projects at extremely short notice, while customers await capital expenditure approval or the delivery of equipment. Also, Aggreko will leverage remote monitoring technology to manage power supply sources and proactively identify and resolve operational issues.

Based in Scotland with North American headquarters in Houston, Aggreko is No. 5 on the RER 100.
