Aggreko Achieves Re-Certification for Health, Safety And Environmental Management

Jan. 22, 2014

Aggreko, the global leader in temporary power generation, temperature control and oil-free compressed air solutions, has been awarded re-certification in ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, validating the commitment by the organization to maintain the high levels of standards recognized by the certifying bodies. Each re-certification applies to every Aggreko service center in the United States and Canada.

Both certifications require a company to meet specific industry standards. Recognized worldwide, ISO 14001 confirms an organization is effectively managing and mitigating its impact on the environment. Aggreko’s environmental management system is a continuous cycle of planning, implementation, review, and improvement of actions carried out to achieve stated business and environmental goals.  Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Services 18001 Certification verifies a company effectively provides a safe and healthy workplace. OHSAS re-certification aligns with Aggreko’s internal Safety for Life initiative to safeguard the well-being of its employees and customers.

Achieving re-certification confirms that Aggreko has not only met initial review requirements, but is continuing to implement best practices and procedures to achieve overall service excellence for customers.

“Everything we do at Aggreko begins with a focus on protecting our customers and employees,” said Terry Dressel, vice president, national operations, Aggreko North America. “This commitment helps to ensure that we consistently manage our environmental, health, and safety risks through comprehensive systems in compliance with ISO and OHSAS standards of excellence.”
