MCM Events, a division of Maximum Capacity Media, Fort Dodge, Iowa, will host its annual 2009 SAF-T conference online in a webinar format next week. Presenters will speak over the course of four days, and the webinars will be free.

The web conference will focus on aerial work platform safety topics, addressed by some of the industry’s leading training professionals. The sessions will run Nov. 15-18, for about an hour each day. The 2010 SAF-T conference webinar will include topics on fall protection, training vs. familiarization in the ANSI standards, managing an accident, and defining qualified operators. Sponsors for this year’s conference are the Haulotte Group, Snorkel, Skyjack and IPAF.

Attendees at last year’s teleconference included DuBois Chemicals, Cianbro, Amgen, Entegris, ArcelorMittal, BAE Systems and Kimberly-Clark, as well as training organizations, rental companies, crane and rigging companies.

"Although safety should always be on everyone’s mind the recent tragic loss of the Notre Dame student underscores the continued need for awareness and understanding of responsibilities," said conference organizer Guy Ramsey, CEO of MCM. "Due to the generosity of our sponsors, attendees can register to attend this event free of charge. Everyone that is involved with the use and or supervision of those that use aerial work platforms should plan to sit in on these informative presentations."
