Aerial Manufacturer Haulotte Increases Sales 16 Percent in Third Quarter

Oct. 16, 2013

Aerial work platform and scaffolding manufacturer Haulotte Group produced consolidated sales in the third quarter of €81 million (about U.S. $109.6 million), a 16-percent increase compared to the same period a year ago. Year to date Haulotte has posted €257.2 million (about U.S. $348 million), compared to €243.6 million a year ago, a 6-percent jump.

Haulotte said its sales growth was mostly driven by the Latin American market, where the company jumped 37 percent in sales. Improvement in the rental business has been hampered by unfavorable foreign currency movements in Argentina, and weak markets in Southern Europe.

Equipment sales is the highest portion of Haulotte’s business, with €215.5 million in revenue for the first nine months of 2013, a 7-percent year-over-year increase.

Haulotte is based in L’Horme, France, with U.S. headquarters in Archbold, Ohio.
