Admar Supply Co., a construction equipment rental and sales company based in Rochester, N.Y., and one of the leading rental players in the upstate New York area, recently acquired a small Taylor Rental store in Canandaigua, N.Y., giving the company six locations. In addition to construction equipment, the branch will carry a comprehensive line of essential equipment for the construction, commercial and industrial markets.

“We see this expansion as a great opportunity to offer products, support and equipment to area construction professionals,” said Joel DiMarco, Admar president. “This addition blends well with our existing locations in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, and Vestal and will greatly enhance our ability to support area customers.

Admar Supply carries an extensive inventory including skid-steer loaders, light towers, generators, survey equipment, aerial work platforms and other equipment. The company is increasing the number of full-time employees in the new location. Training and professional development opportunities will be provided to employees of the branch. Shane Williams has been promoted from rental manager of the Rochester location to branch manager in Canandaigua.

Admar vice president of operations Rich DiMarco told RER rental revenue has risen in recent months after a slow spring. “The fall is starting out strong with excellent utilization,” DiMarco said. “We are trying to raise rates in certain categories.” DiMarco added that the company is looking for further opportunities to expand.

Admar Supply Co. is No. 50 on the RER 100.
