Acme Lift Hires New CFO

Acme Lift Co., a leading re-renter of self-propelled aerial work platforms in North America, last week named Don Johnston chief financial officer. Johnston has a 30-year background in financing and accounting, 28 of those in financing and accounting. He has worked in a variety of sectors, including insurance, manufacturing and real estate. He joins the company after a 13-year stint as CFO of Schaefer-Smith-Ankeney/Compass Insurance Agency.

Johnston has a 30-year background in financing and accounting, 28 of those in financing and accounting. He has worked in a variety of sectors, including insurance, manufacturing and real estate. He joins the company after a 13-year stint as CFO of Schaefer-Smith-Ankeney/Compass Insurance Agency.

Acme Lift specializes in the re-rental of large aerial work platforms. Acme’s fleet includes 80-, 120-, 135- and 150-foot articulating and telescoping boomlifts manufactured by JLG as well as the latest 6,000- to 12,000-pound JLG telehandlers. It re-rents, primarily to rental companies across North America.
