Volvo Rents, owned by Enrique Irizzary of Casco Rental Llc, and managed by Rick Owens, last week announced its intention to expand further into the South Florida market with the opening of a store in Pompano Beach. Volvo Rents, owned by Enrique Irizzary of Casco Rental Llc, and managed by Rick Owens, last week announced its intention to expand further into the South Florida market with the opening of a store in Pompano Beach. Their other locations include stores serving the Fort Myers, Port St. Lucie and Tampa markets.

Volvo Rents’ move into Pompano Beach comes at a time when the Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Deerfield commercial market is growing, despite 2007’s national decline in residential construction. Construction forecasts for the area indicate steady growth across all non-residential categories, including highways and roads, industrial and underground through 2012, according to InfoTech Market Research, a marketing research and consulting company specializing in the construction industry.

“In anticipation of this opportunity, we want to make sure we are positioned to better service our customers in Palm Beach, Broward and Dade counties,” said Irizzary.

The new Volvo Rents location, which will be managed by industry veteran Jason Asuncion, carries a comprehensive line of essential equipment for the construction, commercial and industrial markets.

“With a new, $15 million fleet, which includes large earthmoving equipment and general rental equipment, plus our staff of 30 employees, we are positioned to assist in South Florida’s future growth,” said Owens.

Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Rents, a division of Volvo Construction Equipment, is No. 16 on the RER 100.
