American Pneumatic Tools
Powered by EPA-compliant Kubota or John Deere diesel engines, American Pneumatic Tools’ compressor line feature robust undercarriages and heavy gauge corrosion-resistant Zincor steel bodies. Designed for optimal fuel efficiency, all APT compressor models feature a stepless, fully automated regulator, which continuously monitors air demand and varies engine speed according to the application. All controls are located on a single panel for easy operation, and quick-access hoods, side panels and sound baffles facilitate maintenance. All models come trailer-mounted with road lights as standard. Options include cold weather kits and after-coolers.

Atlas Copco
The XAS 185 compressor features a fully automatic regulator that constantly varies the engine speed according to air demand, a design meant to minimize fuel consumption. The 20-gallon fuel tank allows contractors to use the portable compressor for a full eight-hour shift without needing to refuel. The compressor features Atlas Copco’s HardHat canopy made from durable, weather-resistant polyethylene, protecting components while resisting corrosion. Removable side panels and front and rear baffles ease maintenance. All exterior parts are made of a powder-coated Zincor steel for corrosion resistance.

Chicago Pneumatic
Chicago Pneumatic’s CPS 185 KD T4F compressor is equipped with a water-cooled, 49 hp, 4-cylinder T4F Kubota engine. The 185 CFM compressor has an operating weight of 2,400 pounds, and measures 131 inches long, 60 inches wide, and 55.25 inches tall. With a normal working pressure of 100 psi, the compressor offers a maximum unloading pressure of 125 psi, and features a 20-gallon fuel tank. Few moving parts help minimize mechanical wear. The naturally aspirated Kubota engine is designed for quiet operation at a 76 dBA, and a noise-reducing durable galvanneal sheet metal enclosure further reduces noise as well as corrosion.

Doosan
The Doosan Portable Power P185WDO T4F air compressor is the first model in the product lineup powered by a Tier 4 Final-compliant Doosan D24 engine with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) aftertreatment system. The engine was chosen for reliable power and improved cold starting capability, and delivers a 7 percent increase in fuel efficiency compared to previous models, according to the OEM. With 100 psi at 185 cfm, the P185 meets the needs of a variety of applications, from powering handheld air tools, to sandblasting, and pipeline testing. Operating at a quiet 74 dBA, the P185 also delivers 10 hours of runtime at 100 percent load and 500-hour service intervals.

Iowa Mold Tooling Co.
The new IMT CAS80R hydraulic-driven rotary screw air compressor offers 33 percent more air output than the previous model — up to 80 cfm at 150 psi (10.3 bar) — at a similar price point. Increased hydraulic cooling capabilities and an easy-to-set air pressure output give operators a greater range of machine operation. The hydraulically driven, continuous-duty IMT CAS80R compressor is a single-stage, pressure-lubricated unit. The rotary screw model provides high-volume air for use in pneumatic tools, tire service, sandblasting, painting, carbon-arc cutting and other compressed-air needs. The unit features a hydraulic after-cooler that is integrated into the compressor design, minimizing weight and the physical footprint on top of the body sidepack.

Jenny
Jenny Products’ J11HGA-30P single-stage, gas-powered compressor includes a 30-gallon air tank and features a belt driven “J” pump, which is a single-stage, four-cylinder pump with a high compression ratio for producing maximum air flow. It delivers 21.3 CFM at 100 PSI or 20.9 CFM at 125 PSI. An 11-horsepower Honda GX gasoline engine powers the compressor, and the unit’s special unloading valves and large flywheel allow easy recoil starting. Pump temperature is kept low by the directional air shroud and large flywheel. Also, Jenny’s professional-duty “Ultimate Blue” synthetic pump oil protects the unit’s pistons, crankshaft, bearings, rings and cylinders through a splash lubrication system.

Northern Tool + Equipment
Northern Tool + Equipment has expanded its exclusive NorthStar product line to include two new electric air compressors, available in 3- and 5-HP models. Both are equipped with a cast iron, oil-lubricated, single-stage pump that runs quietly and prevents heat transfer between cylinders. The heat-resistant alloy steel reed valves are specifically designed for improved pump efficiency and a longer valve life. Double ringed-style pistons are designed for a longer head life and less oil consumption while the bearings on each side of the crankshaft provide an estimated 20,000-hour bearing life. The 3-HP compressors deliver 11.3 CFM at 90 PSI and 12.5 CFM at 40 PSI. The 5-HP compressors provide 15.5 CFM at 90 PSI and 17 CFM at 40 PSI.

Rotair
The Rotair T4Fi s an EPA Tier 4 Final portable compressor that produces 185 CFM at 100 PSI. Spin-on compressor oil and separator tank filters are designed to facilitate quick rental turn-around. The unite features a curb-side control panel for operator safety and convenience. The low-speed, direct-drive gear air-end is covered by a five-year, unlimited-hour warranty that is included free of charge and requires no special fluids. The included Kohler tier 4 final diesel power that requires no diesel particulate filter or other after-treatment to comply with EPA Tier 4 Final emission requirements.

Sullair
Sullair recently introduced the Certified REMAN 375H CFM portable air compressor. Sullair introduced the Certified REMAN program on a limited basis in 2013 and rolled out the program nationwide in 2014. Unlike a refurbishing program where selected parts are repaired or replaced once they become unusable, the Sullair Certified REMAN program provides a replacement for T2/T3 air compressors with a fully remanufactured Sullair air compressor that features the same factory warranty as a new unit. Once an exchange takes place, Sullair fully disassembles the used air compressor core and inspects, cleans and services all of its components – any replacement parts used in the process are genuine OEM. Extensive testing is conducted, to ensure that the remanufactured unit meets the original specifications.
