Point-of-Rental Systems, a software company specializing in rental management systems, has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Ranked No. 4734, Point-of-Rental, based in Grand Prairie, Texas, got its start providing UNIX-based rental management software in 1983, at a time when many rental centers were just beginning to computerize. The company developed a Windows-based system in 2001, which led to significant growth.

The company’s Enterprise software has grown quickly as well.

“Our growth is a reflection of customer satisfaction,” said Point-of-Rental CEO Wayne Harris. “That’s what I am the most proud of. This distinction is a real testament to who we are as a company – a company committed to helping our customers be the best they can be. Keeping pace with the speed of technology without leaving your customers in a fog couldn’t happen without a great team of employees dedicated not only to forward thinking, but also to outstanding customer care.”

The company recently released its new web-based product CLOUD by Point-of-Rental, which only requires a web browser and is accessible from any Internet-capable device.

POR is also working on a software product for larger rental companies that use Microsoft SQL servers.
