JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corp. company, has developed an online Learning Management System to deliver training for JLG customers. In addition to taking online courses, customers can also maintain their training history for both online and classroom courses.

“Online training is the fastest growing venue for training in education and business,” said Todd Truax, JLG Industries director of training. “JLG’s online training offers a convenient and effective means for our customers to build their skills and knowledge in a variety of functional areas pertinent to their business. Online training reduces travel expense, time away from work and enhances the learning experience.”

JLG currently has four courses available online:
• Basic Electric
• Basic Hydraulic
• Warranty Fundamentals (warranty policy)
• Service Bench (warranty system)

JLG will further develop its online training to complement its existing instructor-led courses. These courses will benefit from having an online component taken as a prerequisite to make the time spent at a JLG training course more efficient with increased hands-on time and instructor interaction. In the future, JLG’s online training program will include sales training and training record management.

To register for JLG’s online training, contact the JLG Training Department via the JLG Training Request Form. You will then receive the Learning Management URL, user ID and password to begin this new training format. The Warranty courses are offered free-of-charge. The Basic Electric and Basic Hydraulic courses can be taken for $150 each or combined for $199.
