Hertz Global Holdings this week filed a Form 12b-25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission for additional time to file its Form 10-Q, its report for the first quarter of 2014. The company said additional work is required to complete the closing procedures associated with the first quarter, primarily related to evaluating its conclusions regarding the capitalization and timing of depreciation for certain non-fleet expenditures.

Hertz said it expects to file the quarterly report within the five-day extension period, on or before May 19.

Meanwhile, Hertz reaffirmed its guidance for the full year of 2014, expecting worldwide car rental and equipment rental revenues in the range of $11.4 billion to $11.7 billion.
