Texada Software Posts First-Quarter Profit

Texada Software posted a small profit of CA$28,000 (about U.S. $25,032 million) for the first quarter of 2009, compared with a loss of CA$74,000 for the first quarter of 2008. It is the first quarter under the leadership of a new management team led by president and CEO Brian Spilak.

During the quarter management completed a detailed review of the company’s entire business model, spent considerable time re-connecting with key customers and focused on expense and cash management.

“In what we expect to be a challenging year, we are excited to be able to get off with a positive start,” said Spilak. “We have completed our review of the company’s operations and developed a sound plan for 2009.”
