Ahern Rentals Continues Torrid Growth in Q1

Las Vegas-based Ahern Rentals continued its strong growth with a 28-percent first-quarter total volume increase, with total revenues of $71.2 million, compared with $55.6 million in the same period last year. Equipment rental volume shot up 28.2 percent year over year, from $49.6 million in Q106 to $63.5 million in 2007’s first quarter.

Las Vegas-based Ahern Rentals continued its strong growth with a 28-percent first-quarter total volume increase, with total revenues of $71.2 million, compared with $55.6 million in the same period last year. Equipment rental volume shot up 28.2 percent year over year, from $49.6 million in Q106 to $63.5 million in 2007’s first quarter.

Retained income grew 47.5 percent year over year, from $24.2 million in last year’s first quarter to $35.7 million this year. Gross profit jumped 23.2 percent, from $19.4 million in the first quarter of 2006 to $23.9 million this year.

Rental comprised 89 percent of Ahern’s revenues, with 68 percent of rental revenue coming from the aerial segment.

The company announced that last month it opened its 39th location, in Richfield, Utah.
