Worldwide Superabrasives Names Regional Sales Manager

Worldwide Superabrasives, a global supplier of high-quality diamond and cBN grinding products, last week announced that Dan Herzog has joined the company as regional sales manager, taking responsibility for customers in the Midwest region.

Herzog brings nearly 40 years of experience in the superabrasives industry to Worldwide. He began his career with Cincinnati Milacron as a design engineer in the Special Grinding Machine Division. He then joined GE Superabrasives (now Diamond Innovations) as a project engineer for the Borazon CBN section, launching a 13-year period of concentration on superabrasives.

At GE, Herzog served in Market Development for the Compax Product Section before being named Pacific sales manager and then European sales manager. In 1986 he became president of Wendt and directed its growth to the dual operation of Wendt Dunnington and Wendt Diacraft.

During his superabrasives career Herzog was instrumental in the formation of the Unified Abrasive Manufacturer’s Association and he served two terms as its president. He also served as president of the Industrial Diamond Association of America and was chairman of the Standards Development Committee. In this role he worked to coordinate the efforts of IDA,UAMA and ANSI in drafting and updating industrial standards for superabrasives and superabrasive products.

Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Worldwide Superabrasives manufactures industrial diamond superabrasives and cubic boron nitride superabrasives.
