Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Construction Equipment North America last week announced the appointment of Goran Lindgren as president and CEO of the sales, marketing and product support subsidiary of Volvo Construction Equipment, Brussels, Belgium.
Lindgren succeeds Dennis Slagle, who was recently named president and CEO of Mack Trucks. The appointment is effective April 1.
Lindgren is currently vice president, sales & marketing, of Volvo CE’s Customer Support Business Area in Eskilstuna, Sweden. He has held that position since mid-2007, following four years as vice president, customer support, with Volvo Construction Equipment North America, in Asheville. Lindgren has had global responsibility for Volvo CE parts and service support since 1999 when he became a member of the Volvo CE Customer Support Business Area team.
Volvo Construction Equipment is an international company that develops, manufactures and markets equipment for construction and related industries. Its products include a comprehensive range of wheel loaders, hydraulic excavators, articulated haulers, motor graders, soil and asphalt compactors, pavers, milling machines, compact equipment and material handling equipment.
