William Treffert, CEO of Generac Power Systems, is retiring after 31 years with the company, Generac officials said.
“After 31 years with Generac, Bill has made substantial contributions to the company’s growth from a small manufacturer of portable generators and engines to its position today,” Tim Walsh, managing director of CCMP Capital Advisers, the private equity firm that owns Generac said. “He has worked closely with the board on succession issues to assure a smooth transition.”
Edward LeBlanc, who served as non-executive chairman of the company’s board of directors, and has more than 20 years of executive management experience in the industry, is succeeding Treffert, beginning immediately.
Generac, based in Waukesha, Wis., is a manufacturer of standby power generation equipment, automatic transfer switches, modular paralleling technology, and small engines for residential, commercial, telecommunication, industrial and recreational vehicle applications.
