Toro Inks 5-Year Supplier Agreement with City of Tucson

The Toro Co. has been selected as the sole supplier for sports field, parks and golf course ground maintenance equipment for the City of Tucson, Ariz. The new five-year agreement extends the relationship Toro has had as the supplier of equipment and service for the city’s more than 110 public parks and five public golf courses for the previous five years.

The City of Tucson conducted a thorough solicitation process in the search for a supplier. This agreement is available to public agencies and non-profit entities nationwide via the National Intergovernmental Purchasing Alliance cooperative purchasing program.

“We are very pleased to be working with the City of Tucson on all of its professional grounds maintenance needs,” said Darren Redetzke, vice president for Toro’s Commercial Business. “Toro has a long history of working with communities around the world to ensure their outdoor spaces are well maintained. We appreciate the efforts of the National IPA in offering this new contract on the national scale.”

“This cooperative agreement provides great value for the City of Tucson, Toro, and agencies nationwide,” said Ken Heckman, vice president at National IPA. “Through this partnership, other public agencies can benefit from pricing based on aggregate spend and the convenience of a contract that has already been competitively solicited and awarded by a public entity.”

Toro independent authorized dealers establish final pricing for equipment, parts and service. More information about the Toro award offered through National IPA is available on its website, www.nationalipa.org.

Toro is a worldwide provider of turf and landscape maintenance equipment and irrigation solutions.
