Topcon Appoints Senior VP of Product Planning

Topcon Positioning Systems last week appointed Mark Hornstra senior vice president of product planning for Topcon Positioning Systems.

Hornstra has spent the past seven years at SanDisk Corp. in various director and executive level positions including vice president of worldwide sales operations and demand planning, and vice president of worldwide sales in the mobile handset business. He was also responsible for SanDisk’s retail and OEM business in Japan for three years.

Ray O’Connor, president and CEO of TPS, said Hornstra has “a rich history in the consumer electronics, industrial, commercial and aerospace industries. His strong analytical approach and experience in various phases of management will enhance the company’s product management operations.”

In his new role, Hornstra will also be a member of the TPS executive committee. TPS product managers will report directly to Hornstra.

Topcon Positioning Systems designs and manufactures precise positioning products and solutions for the global surveying, construction, agriculture, civil engineering, mapping and GIS, asset management and mobile control markets.
