Terex to Revoke DeFeo’s Voluntary Pay Cut
Terex Corp. said this week it will revoke a 10-percent voluntary pay cut for chairman and CEO Ron DeFeo, beginning in January. Terex also revealed that its directors will receive a $25,000 raise to $175,000 a year beginning in 2011, the first increase in compensation for Terex directors since 2007.
DeFeo last year refused to accept the restoration of a 10-percent pay cut from March 2009 until the company’s financial position improved, although he did accept money to offset the elimination of compensation for cars, club dues and other executive perks. Pay cuts imposed on other top executives in 2009 were restored at the beginning of this year.
