Subaru Opens New U.S. Headquarters in Lake Zurich, Illinois

Subaru recently opened its new U.S. corporate headquarters in Lake Zurich, Ill. Tripling the available office and warehouse space of the company’s previous location, the new facility enables Subaru to maintain a larger inventory of Subaru engines and related power products, ultimately leading to better overall delivery and service.

In addition to adding space for product, the new facility includes a dynamometer room for conducting tests on horsepower, torque and other engine performance specifications. The new building also incorporates a fully ventilated testing room that allows engineers to test engine emissions, as well as to simulate and evaluate operating conditions for specific OEM equipment and applications. With these tasks taking place on site, rather than at other selected locations, Subaru can now provide faster turnaround for customers.

The new facility also includes a state-of-the-art training center for sales representatives and technical support staff. The center provides hands-on service training opportunities to keep personnel up-to-date on the latest Subaru technology and innovations.

“Subaru has experienced incredible growth in the past several years, particularly since the introduction of our EX Series engines,” said Brad Murphy, Subaru’s vice president of sales and marketing. “This new facility demonstrates our commitment to the U.S. market and positions us for continued growth through superior customer service.”

Subaru Industrial Engines are manufactured by Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., Japan. Fuji Heavy Industries is a diversified manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, aircraft, buses, rolling stock and industrial engines and equipment. Subaru engines are marketed and supported in North America by Robin America, a subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries.
