Gehl Co. last week named Serge Bosche vice president of sales and marketing, effective immediately. Bosche will be responsible for all sales and promotional activities in the Americas region for Gehl Co. and Manitou B.F.

Bosche joined the Gehl organization in Feb. 2009 following the acquisition of Gehl Co. by Manitou in Oct. 2008. Bosche will continue to serve as president and CEO of Manitou North America, based in Waco, Texas.

Bosche has worked for Manitou since 1983, serving in a variety of senior-level positions. Bosche holds a business degree from ESCAE in France and an MBA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

In an interview with RER last year, after Manitou acquired the Gehl line, Bosche discussed the high-quality engineering Manitou is known for.

“The history of the company has always been to grow through listening to customers. We've always been very close to the users of the machines and listening to them has made us what we are today. They know more than we do about what they need in performance, features and benefits. That's the backbone of the company, that ear to the marketplace to come up with products that the customers want and need.”
