MSA Offers Bulletin for Residential Construction Fall Protection Guidance
MSA last week announced availability of its bulletin Fall Protection for Residential Construction Activities (bulletin #2300-132). The new safety bulletin is available to assist fall protection users with OSHA compliance to new Directive Number STD 03-11-002. This new bulletin helps users comply by providing companies with OSHA-compliant products and conveniently packaged kits for end users. Complete kits as well as separate components are offered for simplified product selection to ensure the best choices for many applications, according to MSA.
Directive Number STD 03-11-002 defines residential construction: as of June 16, 2011, all residential construction employers must comply with 29 CFR 1926.501(b) (13). To view the Directive’s full text, visit http://www.osha.gov/doc/residential_fall_protection.html.
