Manitowoc, Wis.-based Manitowoc Co. last week named Tim Martin the new sales and marketing manager for the Encore product offered by Manitowoc Crane Care. Encore offers repair and rebuild services for both Manitowoc Crane Group products and aftermarket parts.

In his new position, Martin will help raise awareness of the many options provided by Encore. His duties will include developing new business, pursuing new opportunities and quality control.

“Our customers know that the Manitowoc name stands for quality products and yet the rebuild or repair option is often overlooked as an option in today’s marketplace,” Crider said. “Tim’s role is to raise awareness among our customers to the additional productivity and profitability that Encore offers. He brings a wealth of experience in the aftermarket business to this new role and we’re delighted to have him as a part of our team.”

Prior to joining Manitowoc, Martin was a sales and marketing manager for Komatsu Remanufacturing; he also worked at a Caterpillar dealership in the Midwest.

The Manitowoc Co. provides lifting equipment for the global construction industry, including lattice-boom cranes, tower cranes, mobile telescopic cranes and boom trucks.
