Makita U.S.A., manufacturer of industrial power tools and accessories, last week announced its renewed partnership with Suzuki Factory Racing for a sixth straight season. Makita and Suzuki will be joined again by Rockstar Energy Drink. Rockstar Makita Suzuki Racing will sponsor teams across all Suzuki racing including Supercross, Motorcross, Superbike and ATV.
2010 marks the sixth year of partnership between Makita and Suzuki, including last season when Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing claimed championships in Supercross, Motocross, Superbike and ATV.
“Our team raced hard all year in 2009, and the result was a string of championships,” said Brent Withey, Makita senior brand manager. “These results speak to the talent and hard work of our athletes, and to the strength of our partnership.”
In addition to racing, Makita is the official power tool sponsor of Major League Soccer, as well as the Mexican National Soccer Team during its tour of the U.S. FMF recently qualified for the World Cup 2010 and will compete in the opening match against South Africa.
Makita is headquartered in La Mirada, Calif.
