JLG Boomlift, Telehandler Win Annual Contractor’s Choice Awards

JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corp. company, announced that the 1350SJP boomlift with Skywelder earned a gold award and the G12-55A telehandler received a silver award in the annual Contractor’s Choice Awards given by Roads & Bridges magazine. Winners were announced in the July 2011 issue of the publication.

The JLG 1350SJP boomlift with Skywelder, which earned first place in the aerial work platforms category, can take operators from the ground to 135 feet in 95 seconds. With strong, 100,000-psi steel and dual 1,000-/500-pound capacity, the 1350SJP delivers height and capacity for workers need to complete jobs quickly.

The JLG G12-55A telehandler, which received second place in the telehandler category, features a 12,000-pound carrying capacity and up to 55-foot lift height. The G12-55A offers a full range of attachments that assist in various jobsite challenges, and features power shift transmission designed to provide efficient control.

Winners of the Contractor’s Choice Awards are selected by contractors. Manufacturers have the opportunity to submit their nominations in 36 different product categories. After nominations are screened by an independent group of judges, the contractors select what they view as the best product. The top three winners in each category receive either a gold, silver or bronze award.
