JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corp. company, last week announced that Bob Nelson has been appointed to the position of vice-president, field sales and service for North America. In his new role, Nelson will lead the North American regions in the development and implementation of sales, market development and field support initiatives for JLG. This position was formerly held by Brent Yohn, who recently accepted the position of vice president and general manager for the Jerr-Dan Corp., an Oshkosh Corp. company.
“Throughout his career at JLG, Bob has exhibited strong sales and service leadership,” said Chris Mellott, JLG Industries vice president, sales and market development for the Americas. “In his expanded role, Bob will ensure that JLG field sales and service teams continue to deliver and improve upon the world-class support our customers have come to expect.”
Nelson began his career with JLG in 2003, following the acquisition of the OmniQuip Corp., where he held the role of regional sales manager. In 2007, Nelson was promoted to regional vice president where he was responsible for all field sales and service personnel in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Headquartered in McConnellsburg, Pa., JLG Industries is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of access equipment. The company’s product portfolio includes leading brands such as JLG aerial work platforms; JLG, SkyTrak and Lull telehandlers.
