Hamilton, Bermuda-based Ingersoll-Rand Co. last week announced that Larry Kurland joined the company as vice president, tax. He was also elected an officer of the company by Ingersoll Rand's board of directors. In his new post, Kurland is responsible for all aspects of tax and the global tax organization and will serve as a key member of the corporate finance team.

Kurland is based at the firm's corporate offices in Montvale, N.J. He joins the company from AT&T Corp., where he worked for 15 years, serving most recently as vice president, taxes and tax counsel.
