SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — As part of its growth strategy, RSC Equipment Rental is opening 12 stores over the next three months and plans to add 20 new rental stores later in 2006 and early 2007.
The 12 stores being opened now are in Gulf Shores, Ala.; Pine Bluff, Ark.; Collinsville, Ill.; Broussard, La.; Kansas City and Osage Beach, Mo.; Columbus, Ohio, Roseburg, Ore.; and Dallas, Lufkin, McKinney and Weatherford, Texas. The 20 additional stores will open in several U.S. states and in Canada. Approximately half of the planned store openings will be newly added locations, while the others will be relocations of existing stores. Currently, RSC has 470 stores.
RSC Equipment Rental has achieved 11 consecutive quarters of record-breaking financial and operating performance and eight quarters of same-store rental revenue growth, according to Tom Zorn, president and CEO. He added that another area of organic growth for RSC over the next few years will come from new stores in key growth markets.
“The new store initiative positions RSC for continued organic growth and provides our customers with an even higher level of service,” said Zorn.
Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Rental Service Corp., a company within the Atlas Copco Group, is No. 2 on the RER 100.
