Elliott Equipment Co., a manufacturer of truck-mounted aerial work platforms and cranes, last week announced that two employee received health and safety awards. Kenny Carl received the William M. Kizer Light of Wellness Healthy Behaviour Award, and Bill Wessling received the Activate Omaha Star Bike Commuter Challenge award.
Carl was chosen over entries from nearly 140 companies for shedding 54 pounds and 22 percent of his total body mass in “Elliott’s Biggest Loser” contest. Wessling won the Bike challenge over 900 riders, for riding hundreds of miles to and from work in 2008, losing more than 15 pounds. He won a new bicycle for his efforts.

We feel this gets translated into the quality and safety of our products.”
Elliott’s brands include HiReach aerial work platforms and cranes and BoomTruck truck-mounted cranes. The company is based in Omaha, Neb.
