Caterpillar May Hire up to 500 Workers in South Carolina
Caterpillar plans to hire 500 workers starting this year to expand its generator plant in Newberry, S.C., the Chicago Daily Herald is reporting. The factory employs 190 workers currently and makes a variety of generators.
The company plans to add production of generators up to 1,250 kilowatts, a Caterpillar spokesman said.
