Nearly 2,000 employees are back to work at Bobcat Co. manufacturing plants in Gwinner, and Bismarck, N.D., after a six-week shutdown at the facilities there. The action was announced in November in response to current economic conditions, specifically the downturn in the housing market and crisis in the financial markets.
The Gwinner facility manufactures Bobcat skid-steer, compact track and all-wheel-steer loaders. The Bismarck facility manufactures compact excavators, mini track loaders, and Toolcat utility work machines.
Bobcat Co. is headquartered in West Fargo, N.D.
