Bartell Morrison Acquires Independent Diamond Products

Bartell Morrison, a Canada-based manufacturer of concrete equipment has acquired Independent Diamond Products, Keyport, N.J.

“This acquisition allows Bartell Morrison to strengthen our presence in the U.S. market and offer our customers new and expanded product lines to enhance their business,” said Tom Foskett, president of Bartell Morrison.

Independent Diamond Products offers a full line of diamond tools to the construction equipment industry through equipment rental, equipment distributors, and STAFDA-type business as well and the lumber and industrial markets. Independent Diamond will operate as a trade name of Bartell Morrison and will be added to the Bartell, Morrison and Nexus product lines.

Bartell Morrison named Jeff Durgin president of Bartell Morrison USA LLC, and Brian DePaul national sales manager for all the Bartell Morrison (USA) product lines.

“This merger will bring new jobs to the U.S. at a time when they are needed the most,” said Durgin. “The formation of Bartell Morrison (USA) LLC and the expansion of our New Jersey facility will allow us to service the U.S. market better than ever. Our customers can expect a seamless transition with no disruption to their service.”

Bartell Morrison (USA) LLC will continue to operate from the newly expanded Keyport location. In Canada, Bartell Morrison has just finished an expansion doubling its production facility at its headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.

Bartell Morrison is comprised of two brands, Bartell and Morrison. The Bartell brand includes walk-behind power trowels, ride-on power trowels, vibratory plate compactors, surface preparation machines and diamond blades. The Morrison line includes truss screeds, uni screeds, power buggies, power sprayers, material spreaders and internal eccentric vibrators.
