Ariens, Stens Acquire GB America

Jasper, Ind.-based Ariens Co. through its affiliate Stens Corp. has acquired the assets and distribution rights to the Griffiths & Beerens product line in the Americas, effective April 19. Founded in 1959, GB manufactures a wide range of chainsaw and harvester bars.

“GB is a well respected name in the forestry segment,” said Peter Ariens, president of Stens Corp. “This partnership will combine GB’s expertise, experience and extensive product range with Stens’ outstanding customer care.”

The GB America acquisition complements the existing Stens selection of Carlton products and the Franzen chain-sharpening machine. The company will bring the product lines together to create a comprehensive offering for the chainsaw, harvesting and timber processing industries.

Ariens Co. manufactures outdoor power equipment for both consumer and commercial use. Stens supplies replacement parts and accessories to more than 50,000 dealers worldwide through its U.S. and international distribution network.
