Ken Silverman has been appointed vice president, Customer Support, for Volvo Construction Equipment North America, which is the sales, market and product support subsidiary of Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE). Dennis Slagle, president and CEO of Volvo Construction Equipment North America, made the announcement of the appointment, which is effective Aug. 13.
Silverman, currently vice president, Global Aftermarket for the Volvo CE Road Machinery Business Line, succeeds Goran Lindgren who was recently promoted to global vice president, Marketing and Sales of the Customer Support Business Area for Volvo CE in Eskilstuna, Sweden. Volvo CE acquired the Road Machinery Development business entity from Ingersoll Rand in April of 2007.
In announcing the appointment of Silverman, Slagle said “Ken comes to us as a result of the Ingersoll Rand acquisition and follows in Goran Lindgren’s footsteps with a seasoned and professional approach toward building customer service and satisfaction.”
