Dewalt Receives Energy Star Rating On Battery Charger System
Dewalt last week announced that its DC9310 battery charger system and all battery packs that are compatible with it, including all Dewalt 7.2V to 18V Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) and Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) batteries, have received the nationally recognized Energy Star rating.
Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy that helps Americans save money and protect the environment through energy-efficient products and practices. With the Energy Star certification on the DC9310 battery charging system, professional end users can expect the DC9310 to use less energy than comparable non-qualified systems when left plugged in after a battery has been charged and after a battery has been removed.
“Dewalt is committed to meeting end users’ needs by developing innovative products that are tough enough to withstand jobsite demands” said Frank Mannarino, vice president of Cordless Product Development for Dewalt. “Likewise, Dewalt takes the extra steps needed to ensure that users can feel good about using battery charger systems that use less energy than their counterparts.”
Dewalt is a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools with more than 300 power tool and equipment products as well as 800 power tool accessories.
