Caterpillar Inc. has been named to the 2012-2013 Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes. This is the 12th straight year that Caterpillar has been recognized as a sustainability leader in the Industrial Engineering sector.
Launched in 1999, the annual DJSI process involves a thorough analysis of corporate economic, environmental and social performance factors, assessing issues such as corporate governance, risk management, product stewardship, innovation, climate and energy strategy, supply chain and labor practices.
“We are laser focused on our customers, and our customers are focused on sustainability,” said Doug Oberhelman, Caterpillar chairman and CEO. “Our inclusion on the DJSI for the 12th consecutive year confirms that we are making sustainable progress possible."
