Workx, a leading rental chain in the Netherlands, last week named former Aggreko executive Hendrik Jan Molenaar its new CEO.

Workx, based in Zwolte, Netherlands, and founded by Arjan Jansen, has more than 50 branches.

Molenaar, a Dutch native, joined Aggreko in 1995 as general manager of its Middle East operations and later became managing director of Aggreko’s European business, then became business development director.

“Molenaar is a great guy who will help find our place in a changed market, [with] a firm that has so much to offer and so much potential,” Workx founder and owner Arjan Jensen told RER. “He can bring [leadership to] survive 2010 and we will be ready for the new economy in the near future.”

Molenaar replaces former Workx CEO Tom Zorn, who died several months ago. Jansen hired U.S. rental industry veteran Zorn in June 2008 to help lead the company.
