U.K.’s Vp Acquires Power Tool Supplies
United Kingdom rental company Vp last week acquired Brighton, England-based Power Tool Supplies in a cash deal worth about £1.1 million (about U.S. $1.78 million). Vp said the company would be integrated into Hire Station, Vp’s tool rental business.
Power Tool Supplies generated revenues of £2.3 million (about U.S. $3.7 million) in the year ended March 31. It posted pre-tax profits of £400,000.
The acquisition was Vp’s seventh this year, including the tools and telehandler fleet of UCS Plant and Northern Site Services.
In the past year ended April 30, Vp posted £149.3 million in volume (about U.S. $240 million), with profit before tax and amortization jumping 39 percent year over year to £20.2 million.
Vp is based in Harrowgate, North Yorkshire, England. The company has six business divisions — Groundforce, U.K. Forks, Airpac Bukom Oilfield Services, Hire Station, Torrent Trackside and TPA.
