Third Russian Rental Conference Grows Participation in Sochi

The third annual Russian Rental Conference was held at the Rodina Grand Hotel at the Black Sea shore in Sochi, Russia, with more than 100 rental market players from Russia, Europe, India and the United States attending. The Oct. 11-12 conference was organized by RusRental, a research and training center for the Russian rental industry.

The robust growth of the Russian equipment rental market has driven the popularity of the conference. This year’s agenda included seminars, presentations and discussion sessions on Russian and international rental market development. Presenters this year included Tim Whiteman, managing director and CEO of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF); Rajiv Sethi founder of India’s Gemini Equipment and Rentals; Natalia Amirkhanyan, rental and used equipment consultant for Caterpillar Eurasia; Carsten Sacher, regional manager for JLG Financial Solutions (Germany); Larry Kaye, director general of U.S.-based Script International; Alan Rose of Alan Rose Consulting Services (U.S.); Jonathan Dawson, JLG Industries’ senior director of sales and customer support for EAME Distribution (U.K.); Valeriy Klimenko of the Russian Construction Equipment Rental Assocation; and Nikita Krotkiy, RusRental President.

“The Russian Rental Conference this year has shown that we move in the right direction, creating one informational field for the Russian rental market players,” said Nikita Krotkiy, RusRental president. “The conference is the only event where Russian rental managers can share their experience, exchange their opinions on the market development, and equipment manufacturers can meet with the top managers of Russian rental companies.”

Next year a World Rental Summit will be held in Sochi Oct. 3-4, to bring together leaders of the international rental market with special emphasis on rental companies from emerging markets, such as Eastern Europe, Brazil, India, China and Russia.
